Post Workshop TIE Blog 1 Sample

After the workshop and before your 1-1 individual site conference or scheduled office visit, you will need to have a couple of blog posts completed. See the syllabus for TIE Prep blog entry criteria and deadlines.

Amy Newton from Schanen is one of the first PSTs to complete her blog entries entitled, TIE Lesson Ideas and TIE Blog 1. Note that in the specific blog post entry links provided, she did an excellent job of following directions as per the syllabus milestones and criteria.

Schanen PSTs had only one week to prepare their TIE Prep blog entries and further develop their linked templates for their 1-1 site visit. It is expected that all other sites will not only have the TIE Prep blog posts completed, but will also have a final draft version of all their TIE Blog 1 linked documents!

Please note in the 1-1 site visit interview criteria that not only are you to have links to the files, but you are to also have the files well under development by your 1-1 interview time. See the syllabus excerpt below:

Open Lab / Site Visit Attendance for TIE Checklist review

100

· Self-scheduled 15 minute 1-1 review of TIE plan and prepared materials. Blog 1 will be presented as a narrative overview of preparation.
90-100 = TIE checklist / checkbric completed with quality
80-89 = missing elements of full TIE checklist preparation
70-79 = lack of communication of needs to CT regarding the project time frame and major learning objectives during that time frame

69 and below = major lack of preparation

100

You will have to refer to the TIE Blog 1 criteria, the TIE Checklist / Checkbric, and workshop links to further complete your TIE Checkbric items before the 1-1 site interview. The greater the planning, the greater the experience!!
